Many bloggers or influencers skip over affiliate marketing. But it has proved to be an amazing source of income for my blog. And that is all thanks to the Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing course. If you’re wanting to make money blogging and sharing things you love, affiliate marketing is the way to go!
P.S. I made more in affiliate income in my first month after the course than the cost of the class!
When I started my blog in May 2016, I never thought that I could make money with it. I was just excited to start a blog and share my passion for personal finance with anyone who would read. People would ask me if I’d ever want to make money off of it and I said “sure!” but really had no clue how to do that.
Time went on, and I was still doing nothing about my goal to make money blogging. But In July 2017, I took my first step and signed up with Bluehost to host my blog and own my domain! I also signed up to put ads on my site, but since it was so small at the time, I didn’t see much of a revenue stream. Like a couple dollars a month! ha.
In October 2017, I got really serious about making money doing what I love with my blog and learned more about affiliate marketing. I knew that it was a game changer but didn’t know much about it. This is where the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course really came into play! Since taking the course, I have seen a great income stream. And it took less than a month!
You can check out my income reports here.
Why I Love Affiliate Marketing
I can’t believe I was writing a blog for over a year without knowing what affiliate marketing even is. Still kicking myself for that one.
I love affiliate marketing because it is semi-passive income. Meaning that I can create content with my affiliate links and then can continue to make income whenever someone uses my link!
Affiliate marketing is also wonderful because it allows me to share products and services I truly love to people and can make money off of it!
And another awesome part of affiliate marketing is that you don’t need to have hundreds of thousands of views a month to be successful with it. By reaching the right people, you can make money with a smaller audience. Which is awesome for bloggers just starting out (like me in October when I signed up for the Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing course).
What You’ll Learn In The Course
The Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing course is written by Michelle at makingsenseofsense.com. I knew of Michelle before I took the course because she writes a fantastic personal finance blog.
She also knows what’s going on when it comes to affiliate marketing! She earns over $50,000 a month in affiliate marketing alone on her blog, and you bet that she shares all of her tips and tricks in this course.
I am always in favor of learning from people who are successful, and that is definitely Michelle. If you see someone who is doing it right, take every opportunity to learn from them to improve yourself.
Here are just a few things that you’ll learn in the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course:
- What affiliate marking is and how it works
- The steps Michelle has taken to earn over $300,000 from a single blog post
- How to pick the right affiliate products to promote and how to find them
- How to increase conversions
- How to build trust and not lose followers
- The required disclosures you need to know
- Different strategies to use to promote affiliate products
- How to use Pinterest to succeed at affiliate marketing
This course is jam packed with 6 modules, over 30 lessons, and 20 worksheets that will teach you all about affiliate marketing. You’ll also get exclusive access to a Facebook group where you’ll collaborate with Michelle and others who have taken the course about all things related to affiliate marketing.
The Cost – But There’s A Sale!!
Now this class isn’t free, but I can’t emphasize how worth it this class is (even being a budget-conscious personal finance blogger). The cost of the class is $197.
If you are considering signing up for the class, now is the time. Most classes like this will go for several hundred dollars, so this is a steal!
And I’ll let you in on a secret… The first month after I signed up for the course, I made more in affiliate marketing than the cost of the course! Pretty worth it if you ask me.
My Review Of The Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing Course
Being a budget-minded blogger, I have always been conscious of the money that I put into my blog. My first expense for my blog was hosting my site with Bluehost. The second expense I had was signing up for the Making Sense of Affiliate Marking course. And I don’t regret that at all. Sometimes you have to invest money to make money. And that’s what this course has done for me.
Before I took the course, I was dreaming about making money blogging. What if I could make money what I love? What if I could grow my blog into an actual money-making business? And taking the course really opened up my eyes to what I could accomplish with my blog.
No, right now I’m not making thousands from affiliate marketing. But this is only my third month after taking the course. And I’m sure that I’ll continue to grow from here!
Another thing I love about this course is how much information it has! Not only did it show me that I could make money online, it showed me the exact how to’s. Michelle is so transparent in this course and she explains things so well.
One thing that I was so thankful for was learning about the required disclosures to use when doing affiliate marketing. I am all about following the rules and this was such a relief to learn! I wouldn’t have known the legal side of affiliate marketing otherwise.
Michelle also continues to invest in the course. A month ago, I got an email saying that she added more content to the course! I was then able to log into my account and view the new content along with all the initial content that I got when I first enrolled in the course.
My Recommendation
If you are wanting to make money doing what you love and sharing things you love, then affiliate marketing is the way to go. It’s semi-passive and a way to make money even if you are a newer blogger!
Affiliate marketing has been a game changer for me and my blog. And I made more in affiliate marketing in the the first month after taking the course than the full cost of the class! The information and direction I learned about from this course was definitely worth the cost.
